Straight from Tondo: Jim Libiran
…as told to Adrianna Mejia.
Isa akong manunulat, makata, organizer, aktbista, filmmaker at mamamahayag.
Ang dapat ng intention ko sa pelikula ko para sa Kinse, ay sabihin sa mga kabataan na you have the right to know and that once you know, you have to act.
Democracy can be fucked by its own people.
Yung karapatan can also be destroyed by a stupid people who don’t care what the laws are and who simply don’t care because they will be living in Europe or in America or in Canada, so why the fuck, diba?
Nandito kami so don’t fuck it up.

Some old theaters in Rizal Avenue, Manila
Ideal Theater (demolished 1970’s), design by Arch. Pablo Antonio
Otis Dept Store
State Theater (demolished 2001), design by Arch. Juan Nakpil
Ever Theater (demolished 2003)
Avenue Theater (demolished 2006)
Yes, Rizal Avenue was once our Broadway since Theaters are all located in this vicinity.
I just noticed that almost all demolitions of these Art Deco Buildings happened during the Atienza Administration
Wala na bang iba dyan?
Wala na bang ibang ma-post kundi puro cheesy lines, cheesy lines, cheesy lines? SRSLY. Overused na ang iba, may sexual innuendo pa.
Wala na bang ibang ma-post kundi mga tipong too much information? SRSLY.
Kids these days.
Ha!
The Outlier: CHED and the falling morality of College Students
I was closely watching my twitter account last night, waiting for CHED’s announcement on whether or not there will be classes the next day. Of course, just like most normal college kids, I want the classes cancelled to continue re-reading the 5th Installment of Harry Potter and just study the day after. I wasn’t surprised when I saw CHED trending on twitter. But what struck me most are the baseless comments and false accusations so-called ‘College Students’ tweeted on twitter.
It has come to my mind that deciding on tomorrow’s suspension of classes is not the sole problem of CHED, but also the falling morality of College students nowadays. Imagine, some people told CHED (not the exact words but still the same meaning though) Kung ipapasa niyo sa college ang pagsususpend ng klase ANO PANG SILBI NIYO? Whoever tweeted that was pathetic indeed. You don’t just make some commission because their only job is to let the students know “Due to inclement weather classes are hereby suspended blah blah.” The job of CHED is far better and far deeper than telling students to rejoice because there will be no classes the next day! In case you doubt that, google CHED and make good use of your time.
Another instance, somebody tweeted that he doesn’t want to work in CHED because he doesn’t want his children hating him for not suspending classes. So you actually thought that the sons and daughters of people in CHED hate their parents just because they aren’t suspending classes yet? If they were the thinking kids, they would understand why the CHED cannot suspend classes yet. They have to consider many factors, and for all we know, they never wanted to put the students in peril. Deciding on big things such as this, should be thought over and over considering the millions of students to be affected and they cannot afford to make haphazard decisions.
So college students. Come on! Where are your values? It’s okay to tell CHED what happens in your mind but for goodness’ sake filter your thoughts and watch your words. Act decent and act educated.
I know it is your freedom of speech you are blabbing about but believe me, you also have the obligation to do it responsibly.
(from mylucidinterval)
Ito ang mali sa mga kabataan ngayon. They still don’t grow up when they should be doing their responsibilities themselves. Yes, you can have Twitter to spoon-feed you information about class suspensions, but shouting out your grievances that are out of context and with a raging tone is uncalled for.
Besides, some kids of today just wished of even more rain and more suspension of classes. Yes, you can be sarcastic about it, but WTF? Do you want more Filipinos to die of floods and landslides? You’re all in a tropical country. DEAL WITH IT! Fuck the waterproof arguments and study. You’re not acting like students.
Manila, we could’ve had it all
The first photo I think is the proposed National Government Center inside the ellipitical circle in Quezon City. That is to be infront of what is the Quezon Memorial Monument today.
Yes, the area inside the elliptical road is not planned to become QC’s Central Park.
7th photo, bottom right corner of photoset:

Oh well, that’s a big “oooooppsss!” to all people in my dashboard who posted any Ms. Universe-related posts with that Oprah Winfrey comment.
MANNY PACQUIAO NIKE DISPLAY
The writing reads:
“While other fighters use mere tape and gauze, Manny Pacquiao’s knuckles are wrapped in the spirit of his country. He forms a fist that holds the strength of his heritage. A punch that holds the power of his people.”
Mabuhay.
Malakas mang-asar… Madaling mapikon…
